What an incredible two days of outstanding craft/indoor entries and second day animals/pets from our incredible students and families.
The quality of the indoor entries exceeding the past few years I believe with the quality and variety of entries. A special notice to Tuatahi for their cork animals which took out the overall prize and also to the Y7/8 students (Rm 25) for their value rocks.
The animals are always such a highlight with so many of our students so passionate and caring. I admire the time and care each child dedicated to their animal and well done to those who got their pet leading and following you as their carer, this takes many hours.
Thanks to our mighty FORs committee for their time, patience and understanding, sponsors for the covering costs of ribbons/trophies, spot prizes and to the fire brigade & base for helping with the setting up of the tents.
Thanks to Duncan Higgins for coming in to demonstrate the art of shearing a sheep and Simon Muir for being the commentator for our sheep shearing demonstration.
A wonderful representation of a school & community partnership.
